Martin Dyckman on A Most Disorderly Court

I think you're going to enjoy this video. It was posted by Mark Adams, who was one of the attorneys for Clint Curtis.
We all know how corrupt the system of appointing government officials can be, right? We've certainly seen enough unqualified people appointed for purely partisan political reasons. Martin Dyckman explains why the system of electing government officials is, surprisingly, even worse.
In the past, I myself have voted on initiatives to have certain positions become elected rather than appointed, misguidedly thinking that elections would give me a say in the decision and would therefore be better than appointments. Listen to Dyckman explain why I was wrong.
Since our undemocratic government usually only offers us a choice between two evils, in this case the lesser evil is appointing rather than electing officials -- and I'm not quite sure, given some notorious Bush appointees, that it is less evil than anything other than elections.
Enjoy!
