What's Left, Pussycat?
http://www.opednews.com/maxwrite/diarypage.php?did=9085
Excerpt:
Leftists? You mean people who wear Che Guevara t-shirts? Conspiracy theorists? Violent radical loonies? Why would anyone take them seriously?

(I just wrote and posted this diary attacking left gatekeeper sites, on a left gatekeeper site. If you have the time and would care to click on the link and perhaps rate it (you need an account there to rate a story), leave a comment, digg, buzz, reddit, or use the "email this" button on the top right hand of the linked page to pass it along to friends, it might stop it from being deleted too quickly. Of course it might get me banned, but that's the story of my life. ROFL --Mark)

At the end of the day without Proportional Rep the government at the most represents "big industries fat cats"but thats about it.In principal there is no other proportion of any other party represented other than the one who may have succeeded by i.e. ONE vote(If the counting was reliable!).So why vote?.Even with proportional Rep here in Europe,as its difficult to often to see always clear differences between the Labour and Conservative parties and its members, electoral abstention is on the increase while the radical political parties of both extremes are gaining popularity. Many things are responsible for this political enviroment here in Europe but one example of what has caused this situation here is that large industrial companies at a time of rising unemplyoment are going abroad and setting up their businesses and factories in countries like China-one example being the German company Siemens.Nokia stationed in Germany after recieving State subsidies and thereafter making a few billion Euros profit this year, then closed down and moved to Rumania leaving three thousand Germans without a job.European political views emotionaly are being more and more influenced by apathy and indifference and not to forget rising poverty, partly caused by"self service"politicians who in truth are most concerned about an early and wealthy retirement. That many members of the European labour parties(socialists)have often very similiar conceptions as compared to the Conservatives and Vice versa doesnt help matters here in Europe, aswell as leading Labour and Conservative politicians leaving their party and moving over and joining their extremes. But primary at least with the system of proportional rep a real initiative exists and opens the door to democracy and thats the A in the ABC of true representation of the peoples voice.
