Are You Living in the Constitution Free Zone?
http://www.aclu.org/privacy/spyin...ivinginaconstitutionfreezone.html
Excerpt:
Using data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, the ACLU has determined that nearly 2/3 of the entire US population (197.4 million people) live within 100 miles of the US land and coastal borders.
The government is assuming extraordinary powers to stop and search individuals within this zone. This is not just about the border: This " Constitution-Free Zone" includes most of the nation's largest metropolitan areas.

Includes interesting video.

| True, David. And even if it was, it doesn't seem to have done much for Native Americans, African-Americans, the Japanese during WWII, undocumented immigrants now, or the poor at any time. The Constitution of the U.S. is a deeply flawed document to begin with. |

In the case of the American Indian, in many cases they are not and actually had never became citizens of the United States, so the question of the constitution is actually academic other than with respect to what the constitution says about treaties becoming the law of the land, as they are in many cases separately sovereign but joined only by treaty alone to the U.S., and yet remain as an occupied nations, herded into internment camps we call reservations, and treated as if the people are simply property of the United States government.
