Gandhiji, thank god you never lived to read this.
http://www.bhopal.org/
New video and the latest from the Bhopal survivors campaign, the medical appeal, and the poisoned children.
The three and a half minute video MUST be viewed and spread everywhere possible.
THIS is what predatory capitalism (fascism) is about. THIS is what it does. THIS is why we must stop supporting it. THIS is the price paid so that we could have Saran Wrap, Ziplock bags, styrofoam cups, and Scrubbing Bubbles.

| I'd really love to see a strict purchasing/spending strike by anyone in the US who still has any purchasing power at all. It's the only way to show that we mean that this is not allowable. It's gone way too far here in the US, but they're mostly only stealing our money, for now. We can't often see what else they're stealing in faraway places like this. But if more people just stop buying their crap, they'll have to ask why, and make improvements. |

I used to support the general strike and economic boycott ideas, AJ, until I realized that the U.S. is no longer a primary consumer market. Thanks to job outsourcing, the buying power of average consumer has decreased greatly, so apart from the up-scale and high-end niche markets, which have more buying power than all the rest of us combined, the multinationals don't need us--nowadays their primary markets are elsewhere.
Every businessperson alive knows that Henry Ford's success came from paying his workers enough so that they could afford to buy his cars. When they decided not to keep our pay scales high, they no longer needed us as consumers.
